NOVELTY - A heat-resistant graphene oxide-melamine resin composite contains 0.5-0.8 pt. wt. titania nanotubes, 20-25 pts. wt. melamine resin, 40-45 pts. wt. 37% aqueous formaldehyde, 1.8-2.1 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 1-1.5 pts. wt. trifluoroethyl methacrylate, 1-1.5 pts. wt. polyacrylonitrile, 0.3-0.5 pt. wt. polyethylene oxide, 0.3-0.5 pt. wt. tert-butyl hydroperoxide, dimethylformamide, cosolvent comprising dimethylformamide/dichloromethane in volume ratio of 1:1, citric acid, AMP-95 (RTM: 2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol) as alkaline pH adjusting agent, and ethanol. USE - Heat-resistant graphene oxide-melamine resin composite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide-melamine resin composite has excellent heat resistance, thermal conductivity, chemical resistance, toughness and bending energy. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of heat-resistant graphene oxide-melamine resin composite, which involves dissolving polyacrylonitrile in dimethylformamide to form 4 wt.% solution (I), dissolving polyethylene oxide in cosolvent to form 4 wt.% solution (II), mixing solutions (I) and (II), adding titania nanotubes and graphene oxide to mixed solution, stirring, then adding trifluoroethyl methacrylate and tert-butyl hydroperoxide, heating mixture at 60-70 degrees C, stirring reaction mixture for 1-2 hours, filtering, washing filter cake with ethanol 2-3 times to obtain modified graphene oxide, mixing melamine resin and 37% aqueous formaldehyde, heating mixture at 70-75 degrees C, stirring until the mixture is dissolved completely, adding modified graphene oxide to dissolved mixture, stirring for 10-20 minutes, adding alkaline pH adjusting agent, adjusting pH of mixture to 8-9, reacting the mixture for 3-4 hours to obtain graphene oxide containing melamine resin prepolymer, vacuum-drying prepolymer in oven at 30 degrees C to remove water content, adjusting pH to 5-6 using citric acid, curing in oven at 50 degrees C for 8-9 hours and molding.
