NOVELTY - Use of palladium-ZIF-graphene oxide catalyst in resorcinol hydrogenation to 1,3-cyclohexanedione, is claimed. USE - The palladium-ZIF-graphene oxide catalyst is useful in resorcinol hydrogenation to 1,3-cyclohexanedione (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has excellent catalytic activity when applied to system of one-step hydrogenation of resorcinol to produce 1,3-cyclohexanedione, and ensures conversion rate of resorcinol to reach 99.1% within 60 minutes of reaction, where the selectivity of the target product reaches 100%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for producing 1,3-cyclohexanedione by hydrogenation of resorcinol, involves using palladium-ZIF-graphene oxide catalyst prepared by above-mentioned method, reacting at 60degrees Celsius under reaction pressure of 0.2 MPa at a stirring rate of 100 rpm, where the solvent is dichloromethane, the concentration of resorcinol is 0.1 wt.%, and the amount of palladium-ZIF-graphene oxide catalyst is 25 g/l reaction solution.
