▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Water based die lubricant composition comprises (a) 2.4-3.4 wt.% three dimensional graphite particles with a particle size of 30-50 mu m, (b) 0.006-0.09 wt.% two dimensional graphene particles with a particle size of 3-20 nm and at least one 0.0005-0.003% surfactant, where the composition is in the form of dispersion and pH of the dispersion is 7-8. USE - The water based die lubricant composition is useful for forging metals (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The water based die lubricant composition has excellent stability, enhanced anti-wear and anti-friction properties, improved mold release properties, and provide lubricants for forging applications that prolong die-life and increase productivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) method for preparing the composition involves (a) preparing a base lubricant by homogenizing three dimensional graphite particles and diluting at a ratio of 1:5-1:12, (b) preparing an inoculate of surface-stabilized two dimensional graphene particles by dispersing in de-ionized water with at least one neutral surfactant at the pH of 7-8 through ultrasonication and (c) inoculating the dispersion of surface stabilized nanoparticles in the base lubricant and subjecting the inoculated dispersion to homogenization; and (2) forging process for metals involves applying the composition to forging dies and placing the metal between the dies, closing the dies under pressure, opening the dies and removing the forged metal.
