NOVELTY - Combustion synthesis of graphene powder by chemical co-precipitation method includes dry mixing magnesium powder and sugar powder in air atmosphere to obtain mixed powder; subjecting the mixed powder to high pressure combustion synthesis reaction or normal pressure combustion synthesis reaction; adding the mixed powder with hydrochloric acid; acid washing; washing by distilled water until washing liquid is neutral; and drying at normal pressure or vacuum drying. USE - Combustion synthesis of graphene powder (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method uses raw materials having easy transportation and storage; saves energy; is simple and suitable for industrial production; has low cost; and provides graphene powder with small thickness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Combustion synthesis of graphene powder by chemical co-precipitation method comprises weighing 0.65-1 pt.wt. magnesium powder having purity of 95-99.99% and average particle diameter of 0.03-3 mm, and 1 pt.wt. sugar powder having purity of 95-99.9% and average particle diameter of 0.001-3 mm, where sugar is monosaccharide, disaccharide, oligosaccharide, or polysaccharide; adding into powder mixing machine; dry mixing in air atmosphere for 0.5-5 hours to obtain mixed powder; subjecting the mixed powder to high pressure combustion synthesis reaction or normal pressure combustion synthesis reaction; adding the mixed powder with 10-37% hydrochloric acid; acid washing until pH of washing liquid is less than 5; washing by distilled water until washing liquid is neutral; and drying at normal pressure or vacuum drying to obtain graphene powder.
