NOVELTY - Naphthyl polycarboxylic acid salt organic material comprises naphthyl compound (I) and carbon-based material crosslinked with naphthyl compound, where naphthyl compound includes alkali metal salt of 1,3,5-naphthalenetricarboxylic acid, 1,4,5-naphthalenetricarboxylic acid, 1,5,8-naphthalenetricarboxylic acid, 1,3,5,7-naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid, 1,4,6,7-naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid, 1,4,5,8-naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid, 1,2,3,4,6-naphthalenepentacarboxylic acid, 1,2,3,5,8-naphthalenepentacarboxylic acid, 1,2,4,5,8-naphthalenepentacarboxylic acid, 1,2,4,5,6,8-naphthalene hexacarboxylic acid, 1,2,3,4,5,8-naphthalene hexacarboxylic acid, 1,2,3,4,6,7-naphthalene hexacarboxylic acid, and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-naphthalene octacarboxylic acid. USE - The organic material is useful for pole piece, metal ion battery and electrical device (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The organic material: has carboxylate active sites, excellent specific capacity, long cycle performance and stability; stores metal ions and improves the capacity of storing metal ions, and chemical stability; and helps to enhance the electronic conductivity.
