NOVELTY - The preparation method of graphene-silicon composite material involves ultrasonically stirring oxidized graphene, uniformly dispersing nanosilicon into deionized water, hydro-thermally reacting nickel foam, graphene oxide and nano-silicon aqueous solution into a reactor, uniformly growing silicon and graphene in the nickel foam, freezing and vacuum drying at 300-700 degrees C in the atmosphere of nitrogen or argon to obtain graphene oxide composite material. USE - Preparation method of graphene-silicon composite material for use as lithium ion battery cathode material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene-silicon composite material maintains performance of the battery after the test cycle to 8 A/g current density constant current charge and discharge cycle 1000 loop capacity at 1200 mA.hour/g, 1700 loop capacity at 1000 mA.hour/g, 2000 loop capacity at 800 mA.hour/g, stable magnification performance at 0.5 A/g, 1 A/g, 2 A/g, 4 A/g, 8 A/g, 16 A/g current density, and 16 A/g specific capacity at 500 mA.hour/g. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for use of the graphene-silicon composite material as lithium ion battery cathode material.
