NOVELTY - A metal-type cathode slurry comprises 55-95 wt.% carbon cathode active material and 1-40 wt.% high capacity metal cathode active material. The particle size of carbon cathode active material is greater than that of high capacity metal cathode active material. USE - Metal-type cathode slurry for use in a cathode pole piece and a secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The slurry ensures better conductivity of the metal particles or metal oxide particles, reduces damage of stress strain caused by volume change, and improves battery performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing the metal cathode slurry, which involves crushing the binder into the glue solution, gradually adding the high capacity metal cathode active material, the conductive agent and the carbon cathode active material, dispersing uniformly to obtain the metal cathode slurry; (2) a metal type negative pole piece, which involves coating metal-type negative electrode slurry on the negative electrode current collector and drying to obtain the product; and (3) a secondary battery, which comprises the metal type negative pole piece.
