NOVELTY - Preparing carbon/magnesium oxide nano composite powder comprises using raw material magnesium citrate, which is prepared by low-temperature pretreatment and medium temperature sintering successively; the low temperature is 140-160 degrees C, and the medium temperature is 1000-1200 degrees C. USE - The carbon/magnesium oxide nanocomposite powder is useful in preparing refractory material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has simple and cheap raw material, simple production technique, short time consumption, low energy consumption, is environmentally friendly, which is a fast and efficient preparation method of carbon/magnesium oxide nano-composite powder. The carbon/magnesium oxide nano-composite powder has total carbon content of about 14-17 wt.%, carbon performance is at least layer graphene and nano-turbine layered carbon composite, and uniformly coated on the surface of the nano-magnesium oxide crystal, can effectively improve the thermal shock resistance of the low-carbon refractory material, slag resistance and oxidation resistance.
