NOVELTY - Modified steel wire rope grease comprises 0.15-0.25 wt.% multi-layer graphene based on steel wire rope grease. The purity of multi-layer graphene is greater than or equal to 96 wt.%, and the thickness is 3.4 to 8 nm. The layer size is 5-50 mu m, electrical conductivity is 105 S / m, oxygen content is 0.3 to 0.5 wt.% by weight, sulfur content is 0.3-0.5 wt.%, metal impurity content is 95-100 ppm and specific surface area is 100-300 m2/g. USE - Modified steel wire rope grease for steel wire ropes. ADVANTAGE - The modified steel wire rope grease enhances extreme pressure performance and reduces friction and abrasion resistance of steel wire ropes. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing modified steel wire rope grease, which involved heating the steel wire grease to melt it; adding multi-layer graphene to the steel wire rope grease after heating and melting while stirring; stirring the steel wire rope grease with multi-layer graphene with a mechanical stirrer; and uniformly dispersing the multi-layer graphene in the steel wire rope grease to obtain the desired product.
