NOVELTY - Graphene-chitosan Schiff base antibacterial aqueous coating comprises (i) dispersing chitosan in dilute acetic acid, heating and stirring in a water bath, and adding hydrogen peroxide dropwise, cooling and adding absolute ethanol to precipitate out, (ii) mixing and dissolving water-soluble chitosan and vanillin in deionized water, heating and stirring in a water bath, cooling, filtering, adding ethanol to precipitate and washing for many times, and drying, (iii) dissolving aqueous chitosan Schiff base in 10 g deionized water, adding graphene, and ultrasonically dispersing, (iv) after allowing to stand polyurethane and deionized water for 12-20 hours, stirring for 25-80 minutes until completely dissolved to obtain a polyurethane dispersion, (v) adding the polyurethane dispersion into the stirring tank, then adding specific amount of water, and stirring for 10-40 minutes, slowly adding the photoinitiator, stirring, reducing the stirring rate, and continuously stirring. USE - The coating is useful in household appliances. ADVANTAGE - The coating: has excellent antibacterial effect to Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicansand bacteria, antibacterial rate of more than 99% and strong antibacterial property and green health.
