NOVELTY - The filtration membrane has a graphene oxide membrane with a thickness of about 1.8 nm to about 180 nm. The graphene oxide membrane has about 3 to about 30 layers of single-layered graphene oxide flakes. The single-layered graphene oxide flakes have a size up to about 500 nm. The graphene oxide membrane has a thickness of about 1.8 nm to about 18 nm. The graphene oxide membrane has about 3 to about 10 layers of the single-layered graphene oxide flakes. USE - Filtration membrane e.g. zeolite membrane, silica membranes, carbon membranes, and microporous polymeric membrane used in many industrially important separation processes. ADVANTAGE - Ultrathin, molecular-sieving membranes have great potential to realize high flux, so that high selectivity gas mixture separation at low energy cost.
