NOVELTY - Over-current protection device (10) has: first electrode layer (12); second electrode layer (13); and positive temperature coefficient (PTC) material layer (11) laminated between the first and second electrode layers and having resistivity less than 0.05 Ω*cm, where the material layer comprises: polymer matrix having fluoropolymer with melting point temperature higher than 150°C, and having 45-60 vol.% the material layer; conductive ceramic filler of resistivity less than 500 μΩ*cm dispersed in the polymer matrix, and having 40-45 vol.% the material layer; carbon-containing conductive filler dispersed in the polymer matrix and having 0.5-5 vol.% of the material layer; and inner filler having one of aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, zirconium oxide, boron nitride, graphene and/or aluminum oxide, and having 2-10 vol.% of the material layer, where at 25°C, hold current per unit area of the over-current protection device is 0.215-0.26 A/mm2 and at 25°C. USE - Used as over-current protection device. ADVANTAGE - The device can withstand rigorous impacts in high-temperature environments.
