NOVELTY - Modifying road petroleum asphalt, involves (a) mixing inorganic salt into bentonite for modification treatment, extruding into a drying kiln, calcining, cooling the calcined mixed bentonite, grinding, acid leaching diatomaceous earth, separating iron and aluminum impurities in diatomaceous earth, decomposing organic substance in the inner pores of diatomaceous earth, using lime to neutralize the excess acid, neutralizing the lime to obtain calcium sulfate, drying, grinding, storing, pre-dissolving liquid modifier 2-ethyl-3-propyl acrolein, adding to a mixer, adding 2-ethylhexanol ethanol solvent, 2-ethyl-3-acrylamide modifier, waste sulfur, heating, and heat-preserving to form a modified sulfur polymer, and (b) weighing the modified bentonite, acid-neutralized diatomaceous earth, sulfur polymer, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, redispersible latex powder, polyester resin and carbon black to, stirring, feeding into a reactor, extracting the emulsified asphalt, and heat-preserving. USE - The method is useful for modifying road petroleum asphalt. ADVANTAGE - The prepared asphalt has excellent stability, crack resistance, and aging resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for modifying road petroleum asphalt, involves (a) mixing inorganic salt into bentonite for modification treatment, extruding into a drying kiln by double helix, calcining while mixing in the kiln at 500-535 degrees C, cooling the calcined mixed bentonite, grinding to 200 mesh by a ball mill, acid leaching diatomaceous earth with diluted sulfuric acid, separating iron and aluminum impurities in diatomaceous earth, decomposing organic substance in the inner pores of diatomaceous earth, using lime to neutralize the excess acid, neutralizing the lime to obtain calcium sulfate, drying, grinding to 200 meshes or more, storing, pre-dissolving liquid modifier 2-ethyl-3-propyl acrolein, adding to a mixer, adding 45-55 %mass 2-ethylhexanol ethanol solvent, 10-15 %mass 2-ethyl-3-acrylamide modifier, 35-40 %mass waste sulfur, mixing, stirring, heating at 120-135 degrees C, and heat-preserving for 10-15 minutes to form a modified sulfur polymer, and (b) weighing the modified bentonite, acid-neutralized diatomaceous earth, sulfur polymer, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, redispersible latex powder, polyester resin and carbon black to using an electronic weighing equipment, mechanically stirring using a coulter-type mixer, homogenizing, feeding into a reactor, extracting the emulsified asphalt at 160-170 degrees C into the reactor for mixing, heat-preserving at 170-180 degrees C for 30-45 minutes to obtain the asphalt mixture.
