NOVELTY - Preparation of high-performance graphene composite polyvinyl alcohol fiber involves pre-treating graphene aqueous solution, obtaining pretreated graphene aqueous solution with graphene D90 index of less than 70 mu m, mixing polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) aqueous solution, boric acid and pretreated graphene aqueous solution, obtaining boric acid-containing spinning solution having PVA concentration of 10-20 wt.%, filtering the spinning solution, defoaming, spinning, and drying. USE - Preparation of high-performance graphene composite polyvinyl alcohol fiber used as reinforcing material for building material in construction industry and in transportation industry (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of high-performance graphene composite polyvinyl alcohol fiber with improved tensile strength, tensile modulus, break elongation and quality, and high toughness, hot water resistance and antistatic property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for high-performance graphene composite polyvinyl alcohol fiber, which has graphene content of 0.05-1.5 wt.%.
