NOVELTY - Grafting PVC with graphene oxide using light irradiation comprises performing PVC (1a) dechlorination under the action of UV light and photoinitiator to obtain photo-generated free radicals i.e. free radicals containing PVC (2a), and chemically reacting with graphene oxide to promote uniform grafting of graphene oxide with PVC to obtain graphene oxide grafted PVC (I) solution. USE - The method is useful for grafting PVC with graphene oxide using light irradiation. ADVANTAGE - The method: solves the problem of agglomeration of graphene oxide in PVC polymer, and at the same time improves the high mechanical strength and stability of PVC; can simultaneously complete the generation of free radicals and the chemical grafting of graphene oxide under ultraviolet light irradiation; requires fewer types of raw materials, which is more green, environmentally friendly; and has simple process, easy operation, and low cost.
