NOVELTY - Graphene modified cyanate ester resin comprises cyanate ester resin, graphite and coupling agent, where the graphene is added to the cyanate ester resin is divided into two parts, first part of graphene, cyanate resin and coupling agent, the second part of the graphene is added using non-intrusive gravity dispersion technique, disperses uniformly, the total amount of graphene added is 5-20% of the mass of the cyanate resin, and the amount of the first portion of graphene added is 0.5-1% of the mass of the cyanate resin, the coupling agent is added in an amount of 1-3% by mass of the cyanate resin, the coupling agent is added in an amount not less than the first portion of graphite and the added amount is twice. USE - Used as graphene modified cyanate ester resin. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, dielectric constant and glass transition temperature of the modified cyanate resin. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing graphene-modified cyanate resin, comprising (i) heating the cyanate resin to a temperature at which the coupling agent functional group reacts with the hydroxy functional group on the graphene, (ii) adding the coupling agent to the cyanate resin, and stirring the mixture uniformly to obtain mixed resin, (iii) adding graphene into the mixed resin and stirring uniformly to obtain cyanate resin-A, and (iv) adding graphene into the cyanate resin-A, and dispersing by a non-invasive gravity dispersion process.
