NOVELTY - Graphene aging resistant additive prepared by using large-diameter graphene as base skeleton material, uniformly covering with bismuth oxychloride nanoparticles, laying the bismuth oxychloride crystal grains on the surface of the large-diameter graphene, bismuth oxide layer in the bismuth oxychloride forms strong chemical coordination bond with the large pi bond on the surface of the graphene, is claimed. USE - The additive is useful for building inorganic coating (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The additive: promotes the dispersion of the graphene in the inorganic coating; has excellent refractive index and barrier properties to the sheet-shaped additive; extends the service life of inorganic coatings; and is suitable for use in harsh environments. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the graphene aging resistant additive, comprising (i) taking 8-13 pts. wt. natural flaky graphite, 8-10 pts. wt. sodium bismuthate (NaBiO3.2H2O), 14-19 pts. wt. absolute ethanol, 30-45 pts. wt. (1-2.5%) hydrochloric acid solution and 0.1-2 pts. wt. potassium iodide, (ii) mechanically stripping the natural flaky graphite and dispersing to obtain large-diameter graphene, mixing and dispersing the sodium bismuthate in absolute ethanol, carrying out ultrasonic treatment for 1-3 hours to obtain anhydrous ethanol solution of sodium bismuthate, (iii) adding the large-diameter graphene into the anhydrous ethanol solution of sodium bismuthate to obtain anhydrous ethanol suspension of sodium bismuthate-graphene, (iv) taking potassium iodide in a dilute hydrochloric acid solution, adding the solution in a dropwise into the suspension of the sodium bismuthate-graphene in anhydrous ethanol, and continuously reacting for 1-5 hours, allowing to stand, separating and filtering to obtain precipitate, (v) washing the precipitate with absolute ethanol and deionized water, drying, grinding and washing, coating bismuth oxychloride and forming on the surface of the large-diameter graphene to obtain graphene anti-aging additive for architectural inorganic coatings.
