NOVELTY - A microwave modified calcite powder comprises 120-180 parts mass calcite powder, 40-60 parts mass graphene liquid, 3-5 parts mass hexadecyl sulfate and 1-3 parts mass coupling agent, which is silane coupling agent or titanate. USE - The microwave modified calcite powder is useful for polypropylene (claimed), and in rubber, plastic, papermaking, artificial marble, feed, toothpaste and food industry. ADVANTAGE - The microwave modified calcite powder solves the technical problem of poor compatibility between the surface of the calcite and the high polymer, and can improve the mechanical properties of the composite material by mixing the modified calcite powder and polypropylene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: preparation of the microwave modified calcite powder, which involves mixing calcite powder, graphene liquid, hexadecyl sulfate and coupling agent at 90-120°C, performing high-speed stirring under microwave condition for 15-25 minutes, performing low-speed stirring for 3-5 minutes, cooling and discharging; and use of the microwave modified calcite powder for polypropylene, which involves preparing a composite material by mixing the modified calcite powder and polypropylene, drying at 60°C for 1-2 hours, introducing into a high-speed mixer, fully mixing for 10-20 minutes to obtain a mixed material, introducing into a twin-screw extruder, granulating and injection molding. The mass ratio of modified calcite powder to polypropylene is 3-5:10. The screw temperature in the twin-screw extruder is 170-190°C, and the screw speed is 45 rpm.
