NOVELTY - A conductive composition comprises a polymeric material, a carbon nanomaterial and an anionic stabilizing agent. USE - Conductive composition used in slurry for forming electrode (all claimed) of secondary battery e.g. lithium-ion batteries for consumer electronics, electric vehicles and grid energy storage. ADVANTAGE - The conductive composition has excellent electrochemical stability and high adhesion to the electrode materials and current collectors, and provides battery with excellent cycle life and high discharging capability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) slurry, which comprises an electrode active material and the conductive composition; and (2) preparation of conductive composition, which involves dispersing (101) the carbon nanomaterial in an aqueous solvent to form a suspension (A), dispersing (102) the anionic stabilizing agent in the suspension (A) to form a suspension (B), and dispersing (103) the polymeric material in the suspension (B). The polymeric material comprises a copolymer comprising a structural unit derived from an acid group-containing monomer and a structural unit derived from a polar group-containing monomer.
