NOVELTY - Silicon-based anode comprises a silicon-based anode active material, conductive agents, and a binder. USE - Silicon-based anode used in electrochemical cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The silicon-based anode has high specific capacities and extraordinary cycling stability and lifetime. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: 1. an electrochemical cell, which comprises a silicon-based anode that comprising a silicon-based anode active material, a first conductive agent, a first binder, a cathode that comprising a cathode active material, a second conductive agent and a second binder; and a separator interposed the between the silicon-based anode and the cathode; and 2. a process for preparing an electrochemical cell, which involves: a. providing a silicon-based anode includes a silicon-based anode active material, a first conductive agent, and a first binder; b. providing a cathode includes a cathode active material, a second conductive agent and a second binder; c. forming interposed between the silicon-based anode and the cathode, a separator or a solid-state electrolyte.
