NOVELTY - The article (10) has a set of components provided with an aerosol-forming substrate (12) i.e. tobacco-free aerosol-forming substrate, that is in a form of a hollow tubular segment for defining a substrate cavity extending between an upstream end and a downstream end in which the aerosol-forming substrate comprises a set of thermally conductive particles and aerosol-former. The aerosol-forming substrate is formed of thermally conductive particles consists of one of graphite, expanded graphite, graphene, carbon nanotubes, charcoal and diamond. The aerosol forming substrate is formed in a form of a tube and a tubular segment. USE - Aerosol-generating article e.g. electrically heated aerosol generating device, for producing inhalable aerosol in a heating device e.g. inductive and resistive heating device. ADVANTAGE - The article is simple in design, and can be manufactured in a cost-effective manner and incorporated into product designs, and achieves short pre-heating time, so that sensorially acceptable aerosol can be delivered to a user when initiation of heating of an aerosol generating substrate is performed.
