NOVELTY - A graphene-cadmium lanthanum sulfide composite visible light catalyst comprises graphene and photocatalyst. The photocatalyst is adhered to the graphene sheet layer. The photocatalyst is cadmium lanthanum sulfide. USE - Graphene-cadmium lanthanum sulfide composite visible light catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-cadmium lanthanum sulfide composite visible light catalyst has low electron recombination rate and excellent catalytic activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of graphene-cadmium lanthanum sulfide composite visible light catalyst, which involves (S1) preparing graphene oxide solution, (S2) adding cadmium acetate and lanthanum nitrate to graphene solution to form mixed solution (I), (S3) dissolving thiourea and polyvinylpyrrolidone in deionized water, adding ethylene glycol to prepare mixed solution (II), (S4) mixing mixed solution (I) and mixed solution (II), adjusting pH to 8-11 to prepare mixed solution (III), (S5) heating mixed solution (III) through microwave oven at 800 watts for 3-9 minutes to obtain mixed solution (IV), heating for several times, heating for 8-12 seconds by maintaining interval of 8-12 seconds and (S6) washing the mixed solution (IV) and drying to obtain final product.
