NOVELTY - A water-soluble polymer/graphene composite fiber comprises cross-sectional profiled fiber having micro-fiber structure. The composite fiber has fiber strength of more than 100 MPa, elongation at break of more than 2%, and electroconductivity of more than 0.1 S/cm. USE - Water-soluble polymer/graphene composite fiber is used for sensor and energy storage device. ADVANTAGE - The water-soluble polymer/graphene composite fiber has high strength, toughness and electroconductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for production of water-soluble polymer/graphene composite fiber, which involves adding graphene oxide to alkaline solution, adding 0.2-20 wt.% aqueous solution of water-soluble polymer mixture, dispersing, adding graphene oxide to obtained spinning liquid, dispersing, extruding obtained spinning liquid in a coagulation bath, curing, drawing, and drying.
