NOVELTY - Powder metallurgy brake pad comprises 40-60 pts. wt. iron powder (45-75 mu m), 10-20 pts. wt. copper powder (13-25 mu m), 5-15 pts. wt. flake graphite (270-500 mu m), 0.1-1 pts. wt. graphene (0.01-0.1 mu m), 1-10 pts. wt. ferrous sulfide powder (13-25 mu m), 10-20 pts. wt. spherical chromium powder, 0.01-0.1 pts. wt. molybdenum powder, 1-10 pts. wt. chromium iron alloy powder, 13-25 pts. wt. ferromolybdenum powder, and 10-20 pts. wt. silicon carbide. The spherical mixed hard powder is a mixed powder of hard metal powder and ceramic powder. The hard metal powders are chromium powder, molybdenum powder, ferrochrome alloy powder and ferromolybdenum alloy powder, with a particle size of 50-200 mu m. The ceramic powder includes silicon carbide and titanium dioxide, with a particle size of 0.01-0.5 mu m. USE - The brake pad is useful for high speed railway train brake system. ADVANTAGE - The iron powder has high strength, wide source and low cost; the graphene is uniformly distributed in the base body to react with the iron to generate pearlite to further increase the strength of the base body and improve the friction coefficient stability and wear resistance at high temperature; spherical hard particles combined with the iron substrate interface; and the damage to the carbon ceramic disk is small. The copper-based brake blade prepared by the method can be matched with the carbon ceramic disk to provide stable and high friction coefficient at high speed, low abrasion loss and prolong the service life of the brake disk. It is easy to prepare low price, and it is suitable for high-speed railway train brake system with speed of more than 350 km/hour.
