NOVELTY - Preparing self-supporting electrode involves loading a microwave absorbent containing transition metal and conductive modifier on a surface biomass, placing the biomass material processed in a magnetic field and a microwave field, carrying out hydrothermal reaction to obtain a base electrode, and carrying out sulfur treatment on the base electrode to obtain the substrate electrode. USE - Preparation method of self-supporting electrode for lithium-sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The prepared electrode material avoids the addition of adhesive and conductive, and is efficient, has mild condition, low cost, energy saving, environment-friendly and strong independence, and capable of batch production. The surface load of the sulfur of the electrode material is greatly improved as compared to coating electrode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a self-supporting electrode, which is biomass carbon three-dimensional pore structure, the biomass carbon three-dimensional pore structure is loaded or filled with transition metal ion and conductive material; and (2) a lithium sulfur battery, which comprises self-supporting electrode, where specific capacity of the lithium sulfur battery is not less than 600mAh/g at the rate of 1 C.
