NOVELTY - Preparing graphene fiber comprises: preparing a dope solution in which graphene oxide (GO) sheets are dispersed in a polar organic solvent; extruding the dope solution into a coagulating solution, which is a mixed solution of dichloromethane (DCM) and n-hexane, then diffusing the polar organic solvent from the extruded dope solution into the coagulating solution to prepare a gel fiber; and drying the gel fibers to convert them into GO fibers. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene fiber. ADVANTAGE - The graphene fiber has high elasticity, flex recovering ability and excellent mechanical strength, and can exhibit electrical conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene fiber prepared by the above mentioned method.
