NOVELTY - Microwave self-healing polypropylene-carbon-based composite material comprises 100 pts. wt. polypropylene resin, 0.3-1.2 pts. wt. antioxidant, 0.3-1.2 pts. wt. lubricant, and 2-5.5 pts. wt. self-healing polypropylene master batch, the melt index of the polypropylene resin is 15-55 g/10 minutes, the self-healing polypropylene master batch is obtained by melting and extruding carbon-based material, silane coupling agent and polypropylene powder through a twin-screw extruder and pelletizing, and the carbon-based material is carbon black, carbon nano tubes, or graphene. USE - The microwave self-healing polypropylene-carbon-based composite material is useful in fields of automobile and home appliances e.g. automobile exterior decoration, air conditioning decorative strip, and exterior decoration structure of small household appliances. ADVANTAGE - The material: has self-healing performance in microwave environment, mechanical properties and processing properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing microwave self-healing polypropylene-carbon-based composite material comprising (1) mixing polypropylene resin, antioxidant, lubricant, and self-healing polypropylene master batch, and (2) the mixed material mixed is fed into a parallel twin-screw extruder through main feeder for melt extrusion and granulation to obtain microwave self-healing polypropylene-carbon-based composite material.
