NOVELTY - Preparing green orange red trichromatic fluorescent graphene quantum dot comprises e.g. (i) adding pyrene by stirring in nitric acid or mixed acid composed of sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid, refluxing and reacting and cooling, (ii) adding reaction solution obtained in step (i) into deionized water and filtering, (iii) taking solid and dopant obtained in step (ii), then adding into organic solvent and ultrasonic dispersing and reacting, and (iv) filtering the suspension obtained in step (iii) using organic filter, removing solvent from the filtered solution to obtain final product. USE - The quantum dot is useful in biological nanotechnology, energy sources, nano devices and high-tech fields. ADVANTAGE - The quantum dot is environmentally friendly, has simple preparation method; and the method utilizes low energy, and suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing green orange red trichromatic fluorescent graphene quantum dot comprises (i) slowly adding pyrene by stirring into nitric acid or mixed acid composed of sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid in a volume ratio of 3:1-1:1, refluxing and reacting for 24-48 hours, and then cooling, (ii) slowly adding reaction solution obtained in step (i) into deionized water, filtering, removing acid solution, then washing until filtered solution is neutral to obtain resulting solid, (iii) taking solid and dopant obtained in step (ii) in a mass ratio of 1:0.3-1:1, then adding into organic solvent and ultrasonic dispersing to form uniform suspension, where concentration of the suspension is 1.25-7.5 mg/ml, reacting at 180-230 degrees C for 3-12 hours, and then cooling, and (iv) filtering the suspension obtained in step (iii) through organic filter, removing solvent from the filtered solution to obtain final product, where dopant is glacial acetic acid, hydrobromic acid or acetate, if the solvent is ethanol, then produces green fluorescent graphene quantum dot, if the solvent is N,N-dimethylformamide, then produces orange fluorescent graphene quantum dot, and if the solvent is toluene, cyclohexane, dichlorobenzene or chloroform, and then produces red fluorescent graphene quantum dot.
