NOVELTY - Titanium dioxide quantum dot supported sulfonated graphene aerogel, constructed by taking aerogel from hydrophobic sulfonated graphene as a substrate, and loading titanium dioxide quantum dots on sulfonated graphene substrate. USE - The aerogel is useful for photocatalytic degradation of perfluorooctanoic acid (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The aerogel: degrades perfluorooctanoic acid at a very high rate; has high photocatalytic effect; is convenient to recycle; and applied in fields of photocatalysis and environmental protection. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing titanium dioxide quantum dot supported sulfonated graphene aerogel, comprising (i) dispersing hydrophobic sulfonated graphene in water, adding guiding agent A as a linker of the hydrophilic trivalent titanium salt and the hydrophobic sulfonated graphene, dispersing ultrasonic dispersion uniformly, adding trivalent titanium salt and the oxidizing agent B, oxidizing sulfonated graphene in the dispersion partially using oxidizing agent B and trivalent titanium salt attached to the sulfonated graphene to a titanium dioxide quantum dot and post-treating dispersion to obtain sulfonated graphene sheet supported by titanium dioxide quantum dots; and (ii) redispersing obtained titanium dioxide quantum dot-loaded sulfonated graphene sheet in water, and treated by an ice templating method.
