NOVELTY - Preparing silicon-doped graphene comprises mixing the graphene oxide powder with the silane coupling agent and adding it into a closed container, subjecting to freeze-pump-inflate cycle, and sealing the closed container, and heat-treating the obtained sealed container to obtain the silicon-doped graphene. USE - The method is useful for preparing silicon-doped graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method: increases to different degrees; promotes the bonding of the silane coupling agent fragments to the graphene oxide matrix to a greater extent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for silicon-doped graphene-based chemical resistance type nitrogen oxide room temperature sensor comprising a gold interdigital electrode and the silicon-doped graphene, where the silicon-doped graphene is supported on the surface of the gold interdigital electrode.
