NOVELTY - Method for disinfecting a water body based on a multi-element composite material visible light, involves (a) adding zinc-manganese ferrite/nano-silver/graphene multi-element composite material of a two-dimensional nanostructure into a water body, adding hydrogen peroxide, and exciting a visible light catalytic reaction under the irradiation of visible light to eliminate harmful bacteria in the water body, and (b) after finishing the reaction, and magnetically separating the zinc-manganese ferrite/nano-silver/graphene multi-element composite material in the water body to obtain the purified water after the disinfection treatment. USE - The method is used for disinfecting a water body based on a multi-element composite material visible light. ADVANTAGE - The method avoids the use of high-energy-consumption UV radiation, effectively avoids the toxic and carcinogenic by-products caused by chlorine disinfection, and is environmentally-friendly and sustainable. The multi-element composite material prepared by method has a magnetic and two-dimensional nano-structure, and compared with the structure of the nanoparticles, controls the agglomeration of the nanoparticles, and improves the dispersibility of the material in the water body.
