NOVELTY - Preparing silicon-carbon composite cathode material comprises (i) dispersing silicon powder in solvent, adding organic polymer, and drying to obtain silicone-based composite material coated with organic polymer, and (ii) fully mixing silicone-containing composite material with sulfur or organic sulfur-containing compound, and pyrolyzing under the protection of inert gas to obtain final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing silicon-carbon composite cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The silicon-carbon composite cathode material has high specific capacity and excellent circulation stability and greatly relieves volume expansion effect of silicon-based material during discharge process. The method is simple, cost-effective, and easy to realize industrialization.
