NOVELTY - A composite fiber (1) comprises a metal carbide containing fiber (3) and a carbon layer (5) covering the surface (3A) of the fiber. The carbon layer comprises graphene and 1.2 wt.% or less oxygen. The composite fiber has graphene with different number of layers when 30 mu m area is divided and observed in the longitudinal direction of the composite fiber, in at least one area. USE - Composite fiber. Uses include but are not limited to medium of electric conduction and heat conduction, transformer, motor, wiring board, heat dissipating board, wire, etc. ADVANTAGE - The composite fiber has excellent heat resistance, strength, heat conductivity, electroconductivity, and trackability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for fiber bundle, which comprises 15 or more bundled composite fiber.
