NOVELTY - Preparing composite catalyst involves immersing loose and porous gamma -aluminum oxide core in an alcohol solution of tetraisopropyl titanate and graphene oxide, and then repeatedly immersing and evaporating to remove the alcohol to obtain product. USE - Method for preparing composite catalyst used for production of dioctyl terephthalate. ADVANTAGE - The method has stable structure, protects the tetraisopropyl titanate participating in the reaction and excellent catalytic performance and high catalytic function, improves the catalytic capability and reduces the reaction time, in simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for using composite catalyst, which involves producing raw materials, such as phthalic acid and isooctyl alcohol, subjecting to catalytic esterification reaction to produce dioctyl terephthalate and the added amount of the type catalyst is 0.01-0.08 wt.% total mass of the production raw materials.
