NOVELTY - A support for a catalyst of a fuel cell is manufactured by preparing a mixture comprising a carbon material (10) and a cerium precursor; providing the mixture into a reactor; increasing a temperature of the reactor to a predetermined temperature; and introducing water vapor into the reactor to perform an activation reaction of the carbon material. USE - Manufacture of support for manufacturing catalyst of a fuel cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of decreasing a temperature of an activation process of a support. The method is capable of improving chemical durability of a fuel cell by supporting nano-sized cerium oxide on a support. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacturing a catalyst for a fuel cell which involves providing a catalyst metal on a support.
