NOVELTY - Producing graphene quantum dot, comprises thermal decomposing graphene oxide under solution containing solvent and surface stabilizer. The stabilizer comprises (5-25C) alkylamine, (5-25C) alkyl carboxylic acid, (5-25C) alcohols and/or( 5-25C) alkyl thiol. USE - The graphene quantum dot is useful as photocatalyst for organic light emitting device and solar cells. ADVANTAGE - The method improves productivity and quality of graphene quantum dot, minimizes aggregation of graphene quantum dot, and adjusts size of the quantum dot, and is simple to process.
