NOVELTY - Method for preparing thickening agent, involves (i) adding sodium carboxymethyl cellulose to distilled water, stirring to completely dissolve to obtain sodium carboxymethyl cellulose solution, adding graphene oxide, ultrasonically stirring for 2.5-6 hours to disperse, adding chitin, and ultrasonically processing for 3-10 minutes, (ii) adding potassium persulfate and tetramethylethylenediamine to the solution obtained in step (i), stirring for 20-30 minutes, leaving still for 1-3 hours, and freeze-drying to obtain a gel, and (iii) adding sodium hydroxypropyl starch phosphate to distilled water, completely stirring to dissolve, adding ferric chloride, ultrasonically stirring for 30-45 minutes, adding ethylene glycol solution, stirring for 10-15 minutes, cutting the gel obtained in step (ii) into small pieces and soaking in the solution for 12-20 hours, taking out and drying in vacuum, grinding, and sieving through an 800 mesh to obtain the thickening agent. USE - The method is used for preparing thickening agent in battery electrode material. ADVANTAGE - The thickening agent has excellent viscosity, coating effect and electrochemical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing thickening agent, involves (i) adding sodium carboxymethyl cellulose to distilled water, stirring to completely dissolve to obtain sodium carboxymethyl cellulose solution, adding graphene oxide, ultrasonically stirring for 2.5-6 hours to disperse, adding chitin, and ultrasonically processing for 3-10 minutes, (ii) adding potassium persulfate and tetramethylethylenediamine to the solution obtained in step (i), stirring for 20-30 minutes, where the mass-to-volume ratio of potassium sulfate and tetramethylethylenediamine is (0.022-0.036) g:(0.01-0.03) ml, leaving still for 1-3 hours, and freeze-drying to obtain a gel, and (iii) adding sodium hydroxypropyl starch phosphate to distilled water, completely stirring to dissolve, adding ferric chloride, ultrasonically stirring for 30-45 minutes, adding ethylene glycol solution, stirring for 10-15 minutes, cutting the gel obtained in step (ii) into small pieces and soaking in the solution for 12-20 hours, taking out and drying in vacuum, grinding, and sieving through an 800 mesh to obtain the thickening agent.
