NOVELTY - Citric acid and L-cysteine are added to reactor. Deionized water is added, mixed, heated at 200 degrees C and cooled to room temperature, and concentration is adjusted to desired value using deionized water and stored at room temperature, to obtain graphene quantum dots. USE - Preparation of graphene quantum dots used for detecting trivalent gold ions (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene quantum dots having high sensitivity by simple method.
