NOVELTY - A polycyclic compound chosen from tetra-benz(a,c,h,j)anthracene, 1,2,4,5-tetraphenylbenzene, 2,3-diphenyltriphenylene, 1-phenyl-2-(3-(2-phenylphenyl)phenyl)benzene, 1-phenyl-2-(4-(2-phenylphenyl)phenyl)benzene, 2-(2-phenylphenyl)triphenylene and 1,2-diphenyl-4-(2-phenylphenyl)benzene is subjected to dehydrogenation condensation reaction using Lewis acid and high valence iodine compound to obtain unsubstituted graphene compound. USE - Manufacture of unsubstituted graphene compound. ADVANTAGE - The unsubstituted graphene compound is manufactured efficiently with high yield.
