NOVELTY - A drug carrier using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) comprises graphene oxide and metal nanoparticle composite structure. The graphene oxide surface is modified with positively charged polymer. The metal nanoparticle is gold nanorod. USE - Drug carrier using surface-enhanced Raman scattering. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of drug carrier comprising connecting surface of metal nanoparticle to SERS, successively coating with cationic and anionic polymers, preparing graphene oxide solution, modifying with cationic polyelectrolyte to form positively charged graphene on the surface, covering metal nanoparticle with cationic polyelectrolyte/graphene oxide polymer to obtain graphene oxide-metal nanoparticle composite structure, and subjecting to superficial drug loading.
