NOVELTY - A substrate (1) having specific property is prepared, and line-formed catalyst metal layer(s) (2) is positioned and formed on the surface(s) of the substrate. The substrate is accommodated in a container (3) and heated in a specific environment. A carbon-containing gas is supplied to the substrate surface on which the catalyst metal layer is formed, to obtain a graphene sheet (6). The height of catalyst metal layer from the substrate is made the film thickness according to the number of layers of graphene sheet to be formed. USE - Manufacture of graphene sheet for use in fuel cells and displays. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of graphene sheets having large area, with easy adjustment of width, length, and film thickness. Automation of production process is also enabled.
