▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The electrode has a graphene layer (200) placed and grown on a surface of a germanium nanostructure by using catalyst-free growth process. The nanostructure includes a germanium nanowire (100), germanium nanoparticle, germanium nanotube, germanium film and a germanium substrate. The graphene layer includes defects having disconnection points along a growth axis to allow lithium ions to diffuse into the nanostructure, where volume of the nanowire expands about 370% during a charging/discharging cycle of alloying/dealloying reaction with lithium when the nanowire is adopted as the electrode. USE - Negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery (claimed) used in a portable electronic product e.g. portable phone and laptop computer. ADVANTAGE - The graphene layer is effectively or mechanically held on the surface of the germanium nanowire, so that volume expansion of the germanium nanowire can be minimized due to high surface coverage of the graphene layer during the charging/discharging cycles of alloying/dealloying reactions with lithium, thus improving characteristics of the charging/discharging cycle. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for fabricating a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery (2) a lithium secondary battery. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a perspective view of a germanium nanowire including a surface on which a graphene layer is directly placed. Germanium nanowire (100) Graphene layer (200)
