NOVELTY - A copper foil (10) has sum total of oxides and sulfides having diameter of 0.5 mu m or more of 15 piece/mm as measured by elemental analysis of surface by scanning electron microscope, before heating under atmosphere containing 20 vol.% or more of hydrogen and remainder of argon at 1000 degrees C for 1 hour. USE - Copper foil is used for manufacturing graphene (claimed) for separator of fuel cell, transparent electrode, conductive thin film of display element, mercury-free fluorescent lamp, composite material, and carrier of drug delivery system. ADVANTAGE - The copper foil economically manufactures graphene with high productivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of graphene (20), which involves supplying carbon-containing gas to chamber (100) where copper foil is heated, etching copper foil, laminating transfer sheet on surface of graphene, and transferring graphene on transfer sheet.
