NOVELTY - A high-strength engineering plastic comprises 75-95 pts. wt. high-density polyethylene, 10-20 pts. wt. castor oil-modified hyperbranched polyurethane, 1-1.5 pts. wt. polytetrafluoroethylene, 3-8 pts. wt. ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer, 1.2-2.8 pts. wt. silane coupling agent, 10-18 pts. wt. reinforcing filler, 12-18 pts. wt. synthetic rubber, 0.6-6 pts. wt. flame retardant and 0.4-2.6 pts. wt. antioxidant. The engineering plastic is prepared by: 1) heat melting high-density polyethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene and ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer, adding silane coupling agent, flame retardant and antioxidant, mixing to form premix; 2) keeping premix in molten state, adding castor oil-modified hyperbranched polyurethane, reinforcing filler and synthetic rubber, forming mixture, vacuum drying and removing mixture; 3) extruding the mixture and cooling to form plastic masterbatch; 4) cleaning plastic masterbatch and molding. USE - As high strength engineering plastic. ADVANTAGE - The high-strength engineering plastic prepared has network structure formed by the acrylic double bonds crosslinked with castor oil modified hyperbranched polyurethane and acrylamide methyl substituted cellulose ester polymers, which enhances the tensile modulus, strength and thermal deformation temperature of the plastic. The prepared high-strength engineering plastic has impact strength 14 17MPa, based on GB/T 1843 2008, and Shore hardness 82 94, according to GB/T 2411 2008.
