NOVELTY - An epoxy zinc-rich primer comprises 10-20 wt.% epoxy resin, 1-5 wt.% thixotropic agent, 0.1-0.5 wt.% functional additives, 30-50 wt.% filler, 20-30 wt.% spherical zinc powder, 0.5-2 wt.% graphene and 10-20 wt.% mixed solvent. USE - Epoxy zinc-rich primer for improving corrosion resistance. ADVANTAGE - The epoxy zinc-rich primer has corrosion resistance improved by several times, and has excellent storage stability without forming deposits at the bottom. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the epoxy zinc-rich primer, which involves mixing the mixed solvents in a container followed by slowly adding functional additives, fillers, spherical zinc powder and graphene, stirring the mixture for 1 hour, slowly adding epoxy resin and thixotropic agent, stirring for more than 30 minutes and grinding the final mixture to meet specific fitness requirement. The prepared primer is tested for corrosion resistance, bubble generation, rust proof property, crack resistance and peeling resistance after coating on a steel sheet.
