NOVELTY - Silicon/graphite/carbon fiber composite cathode material comprises nano-silica fume, graphene and carbon fiber composite. The mass of nano-silica fume, graphene and carbon fiber composite accounts for 10-30%, 5-20% and 50-80% of the total mass of composite cathode material. USE - Silicon/graphite/carbon fiber composite cathode material for lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The graphene encapsulated nano-silica fume can avoid the direct contact with the electrolyte. The carbon fiber can be used as a substrate to form a three-dimensional conductive network in the material to improve the conductivity of the material while avoiding the active material to be separated from the collection fluid during the cycle. The cathode material is featured with good mechanical properties, high capacity and good cycle stability. The cathode material is suitable for making flexible electrodes without any additives.
