NOVELTY - Preparing composite catalyst comprises (i) drying the suspension containing graphene oxide and Y-type molecular sieve, and subjecting to a reduction reaction under an inert atmosphere to obtain reduced graphene oxide-Y-type molecular sieve composite material, namely reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-Y composite material; and (ii) dispersing the reduced graphene oxide-Y composite material in water to obtain the reduced graphene oxide -Y composite material suspension, and mixing the reduced graphene oxide -Y composite material suspension with hexachloroplatinic acid (H2PtCl6) to obtain the first mixture material; and reacting the first mixture material with the reducing agent to obtain the product. USE - The composite catalyst is useful as cathode catalyst in proton exchange membrane fuel cell field or proton exchange membrane electrolysis of water to prepare hydrogen (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite catalyst has stable structure, good dispersibility, is not prone to agglomeration phenomenon, has good electrical conductivity; loading little catalyst platinum can obtain higher catalytic activity, high utilization rate of the catalyst platinum; and stable catalytic performance.
