NOVELTY - Spherical hard carbon composite material comprises using hard carbon precursor particles with granularity of 1.5-3.5 microns as raw material, and the conductive two-dimensional material composite to obtain spherical hard carbon composite material precursor, spherical granular hard carbon composite material obtained by high temperature carbonization treatment under inert environment where the conductive two-dimensional material is 5-25 % of the total mass of the hard carbon composite material, the particle size of the spherical particle is 2-50 microns. USE - Spherical hard carbon composite material ADVANTAGE - The spherical hard carbon composite material has high rate performance and cycle stability as sodium ion battery negative electrode material and retention rate is greater than 95 %. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a method for preparing spherical hard carbon composite material which involves treating the biomass raw material in an alkaline aqueous solution for impurity removal, washing and drying, firstly pyrolyzing at a low temperature in an inert environment of 300-500 degrees Celsius, and the low temperature pyrolysis product is crushed into hard carbon precursor particles of 1.5-3.5 mum, compounded with the conductive two-dimensional material in a dispersing solvent to obtain a dispersion solution, and spray-dried to obtain a spherical hard carbon composite material precursor with a particle size of 2-65 mum and a sphericity of 85-95%, then, raising the temperature to 800-1300 degrees Celsius in an inert environment for high-temperature carbonization treatment, and a spherical hard carbon composite material with a particle size of 2-50 mum and a sphericity of 90-95% is prepared; and (2) use of the spherical hard carbon composite material used as sodium ion battery negative electrode material.
