NOVELTY - Graphene-based sponge selenium/sulfur carbon electrode is constructed by placing selenium/sulfur carbon electrode on graphene-based sponge. USE - The graphene-based sponge selenium/sulfur carbon electrode is useful in cell, preferably lithium selenium/lithium sulfur cell (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode has good mechanical property and electrical property, high capacity, long service life, and excellent potential and commercial value. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for manufacturing graphene-based sponge selenium/sulfur carbon electrode, which involves allowing self-assembly of graphene sheet to obtain wet gel block, freeze-drying the wet gel block, performing heat treatment under inert atmosphere at 300-700 degrees C for 5-10 hours to obtain graphene-based sponge, cutting the sponge into flakes, taking selenium/sulfur with the flakes, filling the flakes to inner tube with inert atmosphere at 300-800 degrees C for 5-10 hours to obtain electrode.
