NOVELTY - Poly 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene)/sulfonated graphene composite hydrogel is prepared by dissolving sodium polystyrene sulfonate and sulfonated graphene into water, stirring, and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain dispersing solution; adding 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene) monomer into dispersing solution, then adding multivalent ferric salt, and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain reaction system; dissolving ferric salt into water to obtain solution, adding the reaction system and uniformly mixing; and standing mixture for 6-24 hours, purifying, freezing and drying the purified product. USE - Method of preparing poly 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene)/sulfonated graphene composite hydrogel (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method can prepare the composite hydrogel by using hydrogen bond, pi-pi interaction and electrostatic function among the sulfonated graphene, sodium polystyrene sulfonate and 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene) via supramolecular self-assembly. The obtained composite hydrogel has high conductivity and mechanical strength, and high specific capacitance and cycling stability in electrically active electrolyte. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of poly 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene)/sulfonated graphene composite hydrogel comprises: (A) dissolving sodium polystyrene sulfonate and sulfonated graphene into water, stirring, and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain dispersing solution; (B) adding 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene) monomer into the dispersing solution, then adding multivalent ferric salt, stirring, and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain reaction system; (C) dissolving ferric salt into water to obtain solution, adding the reaction system and uniformly mixing; and (D) standing the mixture for 6-24 hours, purifying and balancing the obtained product in distilled water, freezing and drying the purified product to obtain block-shaped poly 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene)/sulfonated graphene composite hydrogel. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a poly 3,4-(ethylenedioxythiophene)/sulfonated graphene composite hydrogel.
